My name is Maria Castillo Dominguez, and I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and Enrolled Agent.

I was born and raised in a small town in southern Spain called Ronda. I was the middle child in a humble family and the first person to pursue a college degree. At 26, I moved to the United States on my own with just $400 dollars in my pocket, a strong work ethic, and a deep belief that financial independence creates freedom.

That belief has shaped every chapter of my life and career.

Since 2012, I have built my career in the financial services industry, gaining experience at both large institutions and boutique financial planning firms. Over time, I saw a pattern emerge: highly capable, driven women were earning well, often in complex roles, yet did not feel confident or supported when it came to their finances.

That reality became personal in my own life. My husband works in the technology industry, and navigating our household finances meant learning to manage equity compensation, concentrated stock positions, and nuanced tax planning decisions that traditional advice often overlooks. I realized how underserved women in tech truly are when it comes to thoughtful, integrated financial and tax planning.

Valoria Wealth Management was created to meet that need.

I specialize in working with professional women in technology who want more than just investment management. My clients are thoughtful, ambitious, and values-driven. They want clarity around their equity compensation, confidence in their tax decisions, and a financial plan that supports both career growth and personal freedom.

I believe money should be a tool that expands your options, not a source of stress or limitation.

I bring over a decade of experience in financial planning and wealth management and remain actively involved in advancing the profession. I currently serve on the Board of Directors of the Financial Planning Association and continue to hold leadership roles within national and local professional organizations.

I am passionate about education and have spoken at institutions such as the University of California, presented at leading industry conferences including Wealth Management EDGE and the Financial Planning Association, and have been featured in major media outlets including CNBC, CNN, and CBS News. My work has also been recognized in the book So You Want to Be a Financial Planner and through my selection as a 40 Under 40 top leader in the financial advice industry by Investment News in 2023.

Today, I live in Cooper City, Florida with my husband, Aby, and our dog, Lola. I work virtually with clients across the country and have intentionally designed my business to support a life of flexibility, presence, and purpose.

I am deeply career-driven, but I also value time, relationships, and personal freedom. I believe women should not have to choose between success and a full life. I built Valoria with that belief at its core.
